Everlane creates high quality well-designed fashion that rivals that of the luxury brands. When Everlane was conceived, it was in reaction to the confusing retail experience, which was defined by noise, trends, and high mark-ups. By creating a curated, high quality and well-designed selection of clothing(without the 8x mark-up), they sought to break down the retail walls and redefine the fashion e-commerce experience.
Everlane approached us with a challenge, to re-conceive and enlighten the ‘online to doorstep’ packaging experience. We proposed solutions that were more congruent with Everlane’s brand philosophy and the direction they’re headed. By not creating massive overstock, they avoid excess. Inspired by their sustainable model, we sought out ideas that are simple, functional and informative. The directions explore reversible packaging that would enable customers to reuse them for returns. Additionally, we removed the multiple layers and frills of most packaging by using a resilient material which acts like paper but works like plastic, making for a delightful and sophisticated experience.
